We started geometrical applications of diffrentiation and finished the significance of the first derivative.

Here's the question i have (from fitzpatrick)
Code:
f(x) = 2x^3-15x^2+36x
sketch f'(x) and then find
a) f'(x)=0
b) f'(x) >0
c) f'(x) <0
I can do it, but what is the significance of a) b) and c). What are they relevant for?

Thanks for the help seriously

f'(x)=0 - occurs when x is a stationary point on the graph.

f'(x) >0 - gradient of graph is positive . upward direction left to right.

f'(x) <0 - gradient of graph is negative. downward direction left to right

basically helps with the sketching of the graph, and the visualisation of the shape of graph
