just a quick question if you top the state in I.T and say u get 80/80 what would the scaled mark be, being a cat b subject if u top the state wont the scale mark still be low does any1 know what mark it gets scaled down to thanks

If you top the state, you definitely don't get 100. It doesn't work like that. And you definitely aren't guaranteed to jump to a near-100 UAI either. Both systems just don't work like that. You get the mark you deserve.

Scaling is affected by your school cohort doing the course more-so than your statewide position. I would talk to your Head School Admin/Dep Principal/Principal if you want more information about how all that works (they all know the ins and outs of it).

Im pretty sure coming first in state gives you a 100 scaled no matter what aligned mark you get, but I could be worng...

the SCALED top is 83.6
so, no, it doesn't scale >85
at least for last year
