*nods head*. Diana will take in Lynn's advice even though she is heartbroken. She feels smashed to peices, the fragments of her dream, hopes and desires scattered at her feet. Diana understands that Marcus is important to IPR and hopes one day she will be so too *smiling*
Diana would like to inform Evan that she is currently in the top 10 as well!!

Lynn thinks it will remain that way. Alan may be asleep and not caring right now, but he, Marcus, Lynn and Justin have been around for a long, long time...

Evan agrees that he will probably not beat Lynn, Marcus or Justin but Alan is only beating Evan by around 80 posts, so Alan is going to be steamrolled.
Evan agrees that quantity is not as important as quality but considering how fantastic everyone who's posted in this forum is, Evan thinks no one need have any fears of the former overtaking the latter.

Diana has come to a conclusion and wonders if anyone else is the same. She can only write stories when she is angry or feeling very strong emotions. Also she can only edit her work when there is slow sad music on............??? Anyone else?

Diana also wishes to put Lynn's mind at ease. She will not do anything rash!

Lynn felt very much the same way when she was writing her own major work. She could write when she was not feeling particularly emotional, but found that she wrote her best pieces when she was highly emotional. She imagines that any others who write stories based on real life personal events or issues (particularly if in first person) go through a similar pattern of writing.

Diana has read Lynn's major work and knows it was written in 1st peice so understands what she is talking about.

Lynn would like to take the opportunity to say that Lynn's major work started out as a good idea, but completely lost it? Lynn will stick to her fantasy stories in the future

Evan is the exact opposite can only write when he feels distant, remote and almost mathematical, sometimes though when he's in a real funny mood he writes these weird stories for area of study that seem to get good marks

Does Evan ever write in first person? Diana does not seem to be able - she struggles with that.....

Evan does frequently, in the area of study paper, Evan wrote a first person story about a hippy turned into a bitter paraplegic reminiscing about a crack whore he used to be in love with while a nurse is placing a bed pan under his ass

Lynn wonders how on earth Evan came up with the inspiration for that... on second thoughts, she would not really like to know.

Lynn has another big day ahead of her tommorrow (her second day in Sydney, and the ball hasn't stopped rolling yet. Whoo hoo!) and will now bid Diana and Evan adieu and goodnight.

Thomas is scared. There are so many new faces, he doesn't know how to act. He wants to know how everyone did with uni offers? Thomas got his first preference - UTS, Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Writing and Contemporary Cultures)

Katie has two friends doing this course!!!!

Katie thinks that all I-PR members should go to the beach as the beach is fun, inexpensive (katie has no money) and has magical tanning qualities! Possibly in the next two weeks? Maybe a saturday? So Justin can come?

Katie would also like to warn Alan, that next time he decides to sleep instead of coming shopping with her, she will make her way over to his house and MAKE him get up.

Marcus writes when he is feeling inspired by a beautiful emotion; and he finds that both bright and deep music achieve this state. He does, however, carefully consider the tone of the music to listen to before he writes, so that he can attain the best results. Marcus finds that most editing takes places when Marcus is in a more mechanical mode, and he believes this is needful. His emotions need to be balanced by technical practicality to be most potent.
