Alan comes to make his fashionable late entrace (the one where eveyone has gone.) He wishes to states several things.

One, he is extremely jealous of Marcus (in every which way), and would like to say that he is so excited at the fact that in 5 years time, he will pick up the paper to see a picture of Marcus and saying to himself "Oh my... FU*KING GOD!!!, I KNOW HIM!!!"

Two, he would like to voice a crazy thought he conceived on the train ride home. "People should invent pills of condensed glitter that travels through your digestive system intact. That way, doing a number two would be a pleasure!!"

Three, he is very interested about Lynn attending a fashion parade at WhiteHouse, but seeing that Lynn is off, Alan does not know the details. Nonetheless, Alan will try and pop by to sneak a peek at Lynn, hoping that she would not find it too scary.

Four, he too prefers a smaller gathering of friends than a bigger party. He has an addiction to intimacy, and a small group of close friends is a drug that Alan cannot get enough. He finds them very rewarding, insightful and very rare (it seems to happen less and less often. Alan knows it is his fault too :( )

Five, Alan has "learn the Viola" on his list of things to do, as well as "Bake a cake, Read a poorly written romance novel, shop for 12hrs straight during stocktake (he managed only 10 last year...*sigh) with friends, and research more on Queer Theory and the Stonewall protest"

Alan is now sitting here, listening to a remix of California Dreaming...He seems to have a craving for Soothers, which replaced his original craving for tirumisu cake.

Alan's formal is on Friday, and he dreads it's approach.

Alan's father sent him a sms a few hours ago about wishing him luck for the rest of his exams, and on recalling it, he feels he needs to vomit.

Alan wonders why his thoughts are forming in a more erratic way than usual, and why he feels compelled to write them up on Important - Please Read.

He announces that he managed to study 11 hrs today. The librarians think he is crazy, along with the other 40 persons studying for legal studies. Alan wants to die, but he knows the world needs hot people like him, and so, selflessly, he will remain in this world, to satisfy hotcocoababe.

He bids all farewell, and goodmorning.

Marcus sends out "Good Morning" on all frequencies, to those who may be listening. :)

Justin has picked up on Marcus's signal and sends out one of his own. "Fishsticks don't taste good frozen."

Katie wonders why Alan is dreading his formal? She states that formals are fun even if they arent your own and you dont know anyone there except your partner who appears to be incapable of speech.

In regard to Lynn's shoe size Katie would like to point out that she too has size 5 feet although she often feels embarrassed as some of her very short friends have bigger feet than her :( Katie hates being given their outgrown shoes. Unless theyre very spiffy in which case Katie is very glad. Katie would like to warn Lynn that if her hands are small like her feet she will have trouble playing the piano, as Katie has already found out. Katie's hands can barely span an octave, a very big embarrassment in her grade 8 exam :(

Katie says "goodbye" to the empty thread as she is going in to school again to sign out. She hopes all the necessary teachers will be there today and that she can find a formal dress later on as her formal is very very soon. She cant remember when but she suspects it may be next week. Although with all the hype about Lynn's major work Katie suspects that she could just kidnap Lynn and commission her to make a knockout formal dress :D

Marcus agrees with Justin, and would like to commiserate with Katie. Marcus hands are too large, and it is often difficult for him to hit sharps and flats after playing natural notes on Gadulka and Violin.

Similarly to Katie, Justin is also curious as to why Alan is dreading his formal.

Justin has no musical talent, and is as coodinated as an ox that has very little coordination.

Justin wishes Katie luck in signing out today.

Marcus isn't going to his formal...
He hasn't signed out yet...
And he similarly lacks coordination...

But he hopes that Katie has a good day :)

Katie gasps and is sorry that she did not see Justin and Marcus here! She thanks both Marcus and Justin for their respective commiserations and good luck and hopes they both have very good days without frozen fishsticks. She is glad Marcus can empathise with her and suggests that they develop a new instrument which accommodates for people of all hand sizes?

Marcus is not going because:

1) He forgot to pay,
2) He has been dragged off to so many other peoples formals, and he doesn't feel like going to another one.

Marcus likes Katies idea!

Justin can accept Marcus's reasoning.

Justin prefers singing loudly and badly to playing an instrument, however his throat is usually very sore towards the end of the song.

Katie is jealous of Marcus going to many formals as she is only going to her own but intends to have a damn good time to compensate for it! She also thinks that coordination is not necessary to have a good time as falling over ridiculously high heels is great comic relief as long as you dont tear your dress. The only thing Katie does not like about formals is the stupid music they play and she thinks she might very well go crazy before she even gets to the dance floor.

Katie must leave now lest she miss her train. Bye :D

Justin bids Katie good day, and hopes she doesn't miss her train.

Justin wishes they would play more rock and less rap, hip hop and dance at school events, and then remembers that a lot of people at his school listen to that rubbish.

Lynn does indeed have small hands and is now feeling insecure about piano-playing. Lynn has however been attending singing lessons for past 3-4 years and can say with certainty that particular hand size is not needed :D :D :D

Katie: Lynn can indeed make formal dresses and has been making commissioned ones over the last 2 years. Next time Katie needs a dress, she knows who to call! lol.

Lynn is amused at Marcus' dilemma and recalls that her friend is in similar problem - except he was silly enough to accept invitations from separate schools to their formals which are on THE SAME NIGHT. The size of his "Sorry I'm a loser" present to girl who's formal he decided to "arrive at, at like, 11pm" was rather large and expensive.

Marcus agrees with Justin. He too finds hip-hop, rnb, etc, to be a melange of recycled melodies and identical beats. The lyrics aren't that great either.

Lynn LOVES pop and r&b music. She wishes more of it was played at formals, particularly anything by Christina and Britney, particularly their dance-able songs.

Lynn also wishes Katie a good day.
