INFS1603

This has been asked before but I couldn't find the old thread nor remember the replies :p

Is it counted as a tutorial or a lecture? I'm not sure if it's on or not? I've got 2hrs spare before it so it would suck to wait around to find it's not on.

Assuming you have been allocated a Tutorial from the TAS Allocation thingy, then I guess if you don't want to wait around, check out the noticeboards, or even go up to the relevant faculty and ask them politely, if the tutorial runs in the first week or not.

This would save you waiting around, then finding out the tutorial wasn't on.

I was going to do 2nd year software implementation...but that clashes with volleyball, so I changed subjects :D

Oh it's a lecture then.

Argh, where will I have time to place any tuts! this is not good, I wish they didn't let you organise a decent timetable then smash it into pieces.

How many tuts are there for BDM and how long are they?

One per week, one hour long. Use TAS to find out whats left.

For the sake of volleyball, I sacrifice myself to BDM.

Wow.. I actually fell asleep for quite a few times in that lecture. The room was dark, and the lecturer wasn't quite engaging, and seems a bit nervous..

Is the book really that important? already forked out too much $$$ on it...

I got a copy from a mate that did it last year. I went to the first hour of the lecture yesterday and thought I'd go to the second hour today since I was around anyway. I left after half an hour.

I wonder if the lecture notes will cover "all you need", or will you "need some more" from the book?

How exactly can you use TAS to select a tut time? seems like you can't?

It says "unavailable tuts", does this mean it couldn't sort anything into my timetable?

I haven't ever entered any preferences yet...can't see where? unless I have to do it physically at the specified rooms.
