i was thinking of going to otago university in new zealand, and wondered how the conversion of hsc and uai scores works. anyone who knows, reply. thanx:)

A uai is just an index, if you do the baccalaureate you still get one, i'm sure nz universities recognise UAI's because a guy I know ended up going to NZ to study law.

from doing the MYP (the yr 7-10 version of the IB), i understand you have to do separate final exams...which is a big pain...

So we had either the same assignments, and got them marked twice, or had to do assessments that fitted in with the IB...which meant a lot of music composing as opposed to anything else!

If you're going to NS, UAI is fine.

If you're going elsewhere, you should probably go for the IB.

The IB is a more thorough, elite and better recognised course.
