Hey guys I was just wondering if it's necessary to have a title for your creative writing piece. I know 'most' of the students at my school do. And how do you come up with a good title? Also, I begin my creative with a quote so sometimes when the stimulus is a quote I use the stimulus as my heading but I guess sometimes it probably wouldn't work. So should I give my creative a title?

Doesn't hurt to put a title, takes 2 seconds.
Yeah I guess you're right. Then if I'd rather use the stimulus as my heading then I can do that. But that's the thing, I hate naming things. I'm clueless on the title :p

Is it imaginative enough to use the stimulus as the title?

Not really.

You probably won't lose marks for a title. So it doesn't really hurt to have a title. A title should summarise your creative in less than 10 words. And by the time a reader gets to the end of your essay, the title should make them go: "oh, I get why the creative was called X".

I think a title sets a good impression for the marker.

Mines called 'Beyond the white line'.
