Don't take people seriously lol sometimes on Internet, I think you should ask this question on the ATAR and scaling sub-forum instead cause people who frequent there would probably know better than people who frequent here.

English Standard scales the exact same as English Advanced. English advanced is just a little bit harder so board of studies fix your mark a bit higher to make the effort worth it. The general concession is that if you are a hard working student, or like English, or want a really high atar, then you should probably pick advanced over standard. If not, just pick standard its not the end of the world. Scaling is bullshit. Dont pick subjects based on it.
