i have heard from a uni professor that the HSC course for 2006 -(so this years yr 10 will be doing it)- will be renewed and changed......and apparently, it will be the worst and hardest HSC course ever! they'r apparently trialing it on the class of 2006 (thats if they pass)...and if that group goes bad, they probbaly will be changing it again to make it an easier course/exam.

is this tru? :(

i doubt it very much. They are still trying to perfect this new HSC so there would be no way they would revamp it again. To costly and time consuming. Also whats wrong with the HSC now - nothing in my opinion.

lol, remember the UAI is a rank, so if everything is really hard everyone will do badly and the rank will still be about the same.

I think the way it looks like education only gets easier and less harder. So i doubt it.

Apparently they are going to get rid of the HSC all together!!!
Cause it puts too much stress on the kids.

i think if theyve been doing the HSC and its equivilents for the past 50 years or more, then there is no chance of it being droped.

Whenever people tell you things, dont listen to them, theyre making it up, and even if theyre not it wont be implemented by the time you finish school so dont worry about it at all.

wouldn't surprised me if they revamped the HSC.

seems the education in Australia is of a much lower standard compared to other countries.

like someone said above, the UAI is a rank, so your marks don't matter too much if they're high relative to everyone else.

there used to be, a long time ago(5 years), i think there was 4unit physics.
and matrixes was taught in 4unit maths.

then, some of the 4unit physics stuff got crammed into 4unit maths and pushed out alot of maths, grrr...

i agree.
there's extension history, so i don't see a reason why they shouldn't have ext chemistry/physics. and i wish there was ext. economics - they used to have 3U eco and 3U business, but they scrapped them.
and with the 2U of english....again, i have to agree. old hsc - didn't have to be counted.

You know what I hate, the fact that 4u maths students dont sit the 2u HSC, but 4u English students still need to sit the Advanced Course!
