I think it will be, if only because Obama is determined to be the biggest thing ever. I'd say it's more likely to end in disaster for America though. He'll be remembered as the President who gave up America's global hegemony

Britain seems to be doing alright after giving up its global hegemony, so I doubt it.

People do realise 72's just not that old anymore, don't they?
It's old enough to have a 25% chance of dying in office.

I saw you quote that statistic before. But you did it in context, noting you used that for the next eight years, which assumes you think if he wins he'll win a second term, and not dump Palin as VP in the process.

I bet you $20 McCain doesn't die in the next four years.

Hmm, I think you've misread me. The statistic is that by the end of his first term, he would have a 25% chance of dying. I imagine the likelihood he dies before his second term is actually higher since it would be a cumulative probability distribution, if my memory of STAT2001 is correct.

Remember, his previous health history isn't terribly good: smoking, arthritis and 3 previous malignant cancers. So while the typical American bloke his age has about a 15% chance of dying, it's worse for him.

"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."

"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.

Obama may be black in colour but he is not really black. If he wins it will only be a turning point in the eyes of the people that are too stupid to see that.

He's not really white, either, though.

That's the most interesting bit. He's some mix of African-American culture, white culture, Hawaiian culture, African culture, and Indonesian culture.

He pretty much transcends racial groups.
