Too much talk of Microsoft by Huy has lead me to this:

Apple Keyboard
A$89.00
The Apple Keyboard is the perfect complement to your USB-equipped Mac.

Apple Wireless Keyboard
A$119.00
Using Bluetooth wireless technology the Apple Wireless Keyboard provides a reliable, secure connection to your Mac with no cable clutter.

Well, I did talk about the possible:

iBooks
PowerBooks

that I was going to buy next year - so that's Apple (Mac) related :)

I'm a big fan of the AirPort (extreme) as well, but it doesn't compare to a Netgear 802.11g access point in terms of bang for buck.

I'll support Apple now :p

And also, I'm always talking about my iBook or Pbook anyway on the IT stuff forum, so I'm not a MS-fanboy McLake ;)

Apple Wireless Keyboard $120

Apple Wireless Mouse $120

That's what I'd use if I owned a Mac (next year, hopefully)

:)

LOL the "disguise" tactic.

Does that mean I should say:

"I hate Apple and their unreliable software? eg Windo... OS X"

Hehehe ;) :p

Displays, displays, displays!

I love the Widescreen 17" LCD, on the 17" iMac.

17" Studio Display - $1299
20" Cinema Display - $2399
23" Cinema HD Display - $3499

JUST for the displays (monitors, screens) themselves!

The Pbook/iBook screens are good too, except when something like THIS happens!

The new pbooks may have defective LCD screens (too much pressure being applied to the back of the liquid matrix/screen)

:(

Mac... grumble bumble... propreitry lock-in... mumble frickin' grumble...

If they had the Lion's share of the computer market, we'd be far worse off than we are now.

Very funny. I was being serious.

I'm kind of scared by the sort of monolopy we'd exist under if IBM didn't allow clones way back when, or if Apple was the dominant force computing-wise...

Alright guys i dont want any PC vs Mac debate, its gonna get up into heat, both sides has its good aspects alright, i like both of it, PC for its flexibility, and wide range of software, Macs for its aesthetic side. :)

just don't let it get way out of hand and streat spreading to other threads

I want an iBook, for next year.

I'll probably end up getting one by 2004. :)

Everyone would like to have or use a Pbook, but not everyone has the money for it.

The iBook is a cheaper solution, and you can max out the specs and upgrade over the years.

That, or you can buy the top of the range Pbook and use it for 5 years, without even touching the hardware/insides.

I don't know, the pbook is nice, but the ibook is nice too! (silver vs white - tough decision :D :D)

Yeah, it's a little bit childish, but with 640MB RAM, OS X 10.3 (Panther) and all the neat Apple apps (I need to find iChat buddies :p) -- then it's a good, sturdy, all round laptop for uni use.

But naturally, if I was given the choice between Pbook or iBook, the Pbook is a definate winner, because of it's design, colour, and most importantly, higher end-specs, backlit (fibre optic) lighting and other niceties, that the iBook does not have.

:)
