Laptops or Desktops? (2 Viewers)

How about a desktop replacement Laptop. You get the good side of both worlds (but it's a lot heavier than a conventional laptop).

If I were you, I'd probably get something like the Dell Studio 15 or 17, or an Inspiron 1525 if you really wanted.

there is no way it is a thousand dollar difference

A new dell desktop with a 22" will set you back around $1200
A new XPS M1530 will set you back between $2k - $2200

(both top end models from dell of course)

22" screens are pieces of shit with low resolutions. If you're going to go big, run a 24".

I agree, we own a 17" inspiron too, its a "notebook" not a laptop. It weight a fucking tonne and is a bitch to lug around (luckily i don't have to do that often).
