heterofag - are SHOTM worth checking out? i've heard a few tracks from each album and i wasn't too impressed; seems like the kind of thing that's been done before/elsewhere and better, although i might've not dug deep enough.

i'm just getting into them now and enjoying them a hell of a lot

i've listened to 'no man magic' twice now, and it works a lot better when you listen to the whole album from start to finish, rather than just single songs

that's what i suspected, most of the songs i heard sounded like snippets that'd work better in an album's context.

also, have you heard laddio bolocko? they're a NY noise-rock band, and i ordered their 2CD anthology last week simply because the reviews made them sound like the best band ever... albert ayler, amt, this heat, big black and can were mentioned more than once in different reviews. can't wait to hear it.
