Australia is better off with the GST. It's a positive step in the right direction. It got rid of all those hidden taxes and heaps of taxes, to simplify the tax system. Sure it isn't perfect, but it's a movement in the right direction

Mr Evil Egg of Satan. May i respectfully say, your a complete moron. If Australia lost 1/5 of its trade i can assure you we would be rather screwed.

secondly... america holds massive trade barriers against Australia's major exports... steel and agriculture... every time the try to reduce them ordinary American farmers drive tractors on to capitol hill and throw shit at the senate... and in a time of economic recession no president in the history of the US would think of reducing these barriers by anywhere near a large enough amount...
Mr Evil Egg of Satan. The European Union gives out huge subsidies to its farmers yet i dont see you whining about Europeans here. Australia will mostly benefit from US investment, from this deal.

thirdly labor are considerably weak...
Mr Evil Egg of Satan, i concur. Only decent thing you said.

the only issue here is that the current system is both economically and, much more importantly, ethically WRONG... people spend years in detention in ridiculous locations... where there are many people who would volunteer to take on refugees in their homes...

Australia is in population crisis... migration is needed to pick up the slack of australian households... not for MELBOURNE or SYDNEY... but for everywhere else in Australia...
Mr Evil Egg of Satan, please provide facts/figures showing we are in a population crisis. When you do please explain to me how you plan on building major cities in the Simpson.

And he needed a good wholesome liberal PM ie : Malcolm Fraser to fix all those whoopsies he made.

i'm a labour suporter by the way
whats the reason that the aussies support howard? dont most of em have brains?
