Actually you can - after the first hour and up to the last 15 minutes.

I advise you not to do so - you have a set amount of time to show what you know to get marks.

If you do leave early and then remember something relevant within the time frame you can't go back - but if you are still in the exam room you can add it.

I definitely would *not* leave a HSC exam as I use every minute; but I didn't know we could leave. That's interesting.

i always seem to finish early (trying to spew out all the answers while i remember them i suppose, however the consequence is terrible, though not illegible, writing), but i don't always leave.

in my bio trial i finished with 30 mins to spare, left, and still got 90% (which was the highest mark). same with business. i only got 70% but that's about my average anyway.

but i probably won't leave in the HSC, just because i hate being the first to get up and leave.

you guys are nuts! I dont even close the exam paper till the last second.

Depending on the exam, i normally finish 25-20 minutes early, and then i immediately turn back to the beging and do the exam again. Often i find stupid mistakes, (i.e. spelling, miscalculations, decimal points in the wrong place, etc.)

I find it hard so hard to understand, why somebody would risk losing potential marks in their final exam of their secondary-school-ing life, just so they can have an extra 20 minutes to stuff around outside.

dont do it, its not worth it. you will be walking home, after leaving 20 mins early, whi;st everyone is still writing and you will end up thinking 'oh crap i should have written this!'
i guarantee you.
dont risk it, just sit there, and if you must, draw on the tables, i do.. haha.
or as mentioend above, undress people with your mind..?

Why on earth would you leave early? 99% of those who leave early were gonna fail anyway rather than out of confidence.
