making avatar gif (1 Viewer)

hey so I'm trying to make a gif online into my avatar. but I'm not able to. I've tried resizing and all that shit.

but I always get the message "animations can't be used" or "invalid file" or "size too large"

does anyone know what to do?

I have a strong feeling that that threshold is 1000 + posts

But then I see that Zeref has less than 600 posts yet he still has an animated avatar

So I don't think it's based on the number of posts

When this thread was posted, BoS was using a different forum software than the current one. While it seems like animated avatars were available in the old forum software, it is unclear whether animated avatars are possible in the current one. Perhaps @brent012 can clarify.

It's no longer supported unfortunately, the forum software has to process the thumbnails and does not natively support GIFs -- the approaches to get it working were not feasible for security reasons.
