Hey, I'm in yr 11 and currently doing 2U maths and chemistry.
I'm loving chemistry and going pretty well, like 90%'s and top 10 ranking, but maths is my worst subject and I'm thinking of dropping next year.
I just wanted to know from year 12's how much maths there is in yr 12 chem,
cos this year there isn't too much, nothing overly complicated anyhow its just rearranging formulas really,
But next year I was wondering, would it be beneficial to continue maths to help with chemistry, or is the chem maths not going to get much harder than what it is now?

Chemistry maths is just like Year 10 Maths. Simple re-arranging the formulas.

yeh chemistry has no 'maths' in the senes of calculus or anything like that.

They give you formulas (not a lot of them),a dn its just substituting values in

Chem equations are solved via substitution and rearranging - you'll be fine :)

If you are great with moles and such now, you'll be fine.

i don't do maths and i can do the maths in chem easily, nothing to hard or confusing. Basic stuff as people said, substitution and manipulation of formulae.

Sorry for the late reply, but thankyou all for your advice I really appreciate it,
I feel much more confident about it now XD
And yeah I'm fine with moles,
so I should be good.
Thanks again. :)

I'm the exact opposite. I'm coming top 5 in Maths yet failing Chemistry :( mainly because of all the calculations with moles in it.
