There will be trig. Basic trig. Sometimes you'll be lucky and one topic will be missed, but most the time they put trig in.

But I think you can do simultaneous equations. Give me a minute to think about it. Meantime:

(i) Work out the length of CD

Ratio is 1:3 and it tells you that BE is 4cm.
So CD = 4 x 3 = 12cm?

I'm not game enough to try the next. I fail.
