The answer to 14 is B because cell differentiation does not rest its importance on accurate replication that much, more the disabling of certain genes.

However for the DNA's structure, and the genetic information it codes for, to remain intact, accurate replication must occur.
:.the answer is B

well i agree with everything except question 6. I initially put down D) Evaporation of water from stomates, but I then realised that it's not an adaptation, just a structure. Therefore I changed to A) Large leaves for cooling, as that's an adaptation and does assist temperature regulation. However, I might be wrong, and bio doesn't count for me anyway, :D

If you have large leaves, there is an increase in SA:V ratio which would do the opposite of cooling?

yeh..that's what i thought as well..i didn't think D was the best option either but it wasn't B or C and A i thought it was large leaves for warmth..so yeh..i went with D..

i got 12/15..not bad..80% is fine by me..

For question 6...I always thought evaporation was a process. Am I wrong? Of the four answers...I looked for adaptations. Large leaves are an adaptation and Increased production of seeds are an adaptation. Of these two the large leaves were the only answer to do with temperature regulation. Although this is not an adaptation for cooling...but for gaining heat...It is a better answer than D. I was told that opening stomates to lose heat by evaporation was an adaptation...and I agree...but it says nothing about opening stomates does it. If it said "Opening stomates to lose heat"...sure...because thats an adaptation. But I remain adamant that evaporation is NOT an adaptation...but a process. ( a ) is the only adaptation which relates to temperature. That all being said...I dont see how big leaves for cooling can be completely be disregarded as an answer. Big leaves = more stomates = more evaporation = loss of heat = cooling. Whats wrong with that logic...anyone?
