:\ Well what else are you going to write on?
Keep looseleaf sheets in Folders. If you are heaps organised go for one of them. Otherwise books ftw.

I use those clamp files, I can't be bothered stapling or putting things in sleeves so they're a pretty good option. You put all the notes, worksheets and summaries of each chapter into one of them. They cost about $2-$3, and I just bought a shitload of them. :) They are seriously awesome though.

Is it recommended to still use exercise books for Year 11?
Yeah, use those binder books that have punch holes on the the sides so you can fit them inside your folder (thats if you're getting one)

Or else, you can use A4 lined paper that is fitted inside your folder to write stuff in class.

Kilometricos are good, just don't know where to find them, lol. I often mistakenly take them off other people, lol
Supermarkets, officeworks, retailers. I often "mistakenly" take other people's kilometricos too ;)

It depends. I find books easier because it 'flows on' because unlike loose my pages don't get mixed up and the pages aren't easier to lose.

Some people find loose leaf easier cuz
~the don't have to carry heaps of books around
~they can take only the topic they need to school and put the rest in a folder
~it's easier to keep their topics apart especially those teachers who can randomly jump topic on you, eg start a new topic and then go back to the old topic cuz they forgot something
~they can punch holes on their sheets instead of glueing them in so ur book becomes like a bulky brick
~they're organise

Most teachers do recommend loose leaf for year 12. But personally choice really. :)

Those 5 subject notebooks...My dad got me a few of them. He said I should use ONE PER SUBJECT - and the 5 dividers are for SEPERATE CHAPTERS.

There are like 50 pages per subject, as if they're going to last you the whole year. :):) K maybe I just write a lot, and my handwriting is pretty big...Hmm...

Nah, I used a manilla folder for every subject/topic.

Also, Staedtler(sp?) pens were nice.
Oh, you mean the stick ones?! Yeah they're awesome :)

I hate the BIC CRISTAL ones. They fucking suck!!!

Ugh, I used a folder for years 9 + 10 and I will never go back to using one. Once I left mine on the train and it was a pain in the ass trying to negotiate with cityrail's lost property people.
But if you hold them a lot, your muscles get stronger. :)

Those are lame. Manilla folders ftw! It stops you from over-organising your notes, because with those folders when you miss something you're like "OMG MY LIFE HAS ENDED! OUT OF SEQUENCE!", while with manilla folders, everything you've got is all in loose leaf, it makes life a lot easier. Plus, there's no definite limit to the amount of pages you can store in them.

I think I'd make a good manilla folder salesman.
Lever arch fodlers are alright. But they're too bulky and big to fit all of them inside your bag.

I prefer getting one binder folder with dividers, binder books and lined paper. Does anyone bring a punch hole thingy to school?

>< But manilla folders are ugly and don't file properly on my bookshelf. I can't bear the though of having to stack them on top of each other. Unless I got a filing cabinet or something...but that's taking things a bit far.

You mean the hole-punchy things that fit inside your folder and are sort of flat and compact? No. :p
