4Gig ram on laptop WTF? are we going overboard especially with mac air which is shitty in the first place. 2 Gig is more than enough.

4 Gigs is overkill if you're using a windows machine because it can only address up to 3.2GB of RAM in a 32 bit environment.

Leopard can address up to 32GB of RAM using PAE. Which is epic. 4GB of ram is great.

I advise you to not open the laptop and install new hardware. It's a lot harder than a desktop computer.

I don't really think there is much of a difference if you get the pro or just a normal MacBook, I'd personally get a Pro, but it's up to you.

2GB FTW. The more RAM the better. I'm running on 1, and want to die.

I plan to buy the base 13.3 inch 2.1GHz 1GB MacBook and upgrade the RAM to 4GB myself, rather than pay an extra $450 for Apple to do it. I've already done all the research, and it takes about a minute to upgrade. Pros can probably do it in 20 seconds.

I have an 8GB 2G iPod Touch and not one problem thus far. I really like the Safari browser, using it now to type this. Haven't jailbroken it although I am considering it; I like the idea of downloading Youtube videos.
