Shouldn't there be more lecturers, or is there a second 2 week course this year?

So we got Körner back this time, and Easdown is lecturing. Should be an interesting experience. What happened to Zoli and group theory? Or Leanne Rylands?

I haven't got sheet on hand but Rylands isn't coming I think. I am quite excited about Korner... :)

Keypad... *shakes head*
So they only unleash you on the IG's? :D

If Rylands isn't coming who's deputy director next year then?

Is Körner teaching algorithms to IGs again, or a new course? That guy's good...really funny.

The EGs will most likely get Norm as tutor or Thanom if he is too busy with AMOC activities.

Ok, now would be a good time for me to figure out who the hell you are...

And yes, the unleash me on 7-8 IG's.

IG: "How do you do this?"
Good Tutor: "How would you start do it?"

Me: "Idiot, come back to me when you've got a brain..."

Leon Poladin is deputy director. [Good choice methinks]

David Gruenewald was the vice president of SUMS 2005 and was a first tutor in 2005. Jan Honnens is a teacher from Scotch Vic and was also a first tutor in 2005

If I remembered correctly Robbie Gates was a NMSS student himself.

If that was the case

IG: Hey douchebag, how do you do this?
Keypad: Idiot, come back to me when you've got a brain...
IG: You know, xxxxx got a better UAI than you.
Keypad: Well yeah, I beat xxxxx in maths.
IG: You know it was a fluke. Julian or Jason should have topped.
Keypad: Shut up...

Fluke or no fluke, it still happened. I screwed up less on the day and that's what counts.

So we're down here now, in the middle of NMSS. Only 1 other BOS'er down here [shame, really] but there's bound to be more when I get back.

We'll see.

(For the record, it's uber fun)

I was just curious, what activities do you get up to while being there?

Well, first the academic activities:

2 Hours Lectures
2.75 Hours Tutes
1.5 Hours Private study.

per day. [Barring saturday & sunday]

Then, we play card games, sports etc. each day. The game "Fluxx" is a big hit! I might try and point some of the NMSS kiddies towards this site.

On the weekend, we've got today off. So I went into Civic (the closest shopping centre) and did some shopping. Other people went to Zone 3 & Ice Skating [A trend I began, mind you, and wasn't allowed to go. No tutors with the kids on Sunday, it's their day off!]

Went to Questacon yesterday, pretty sweet.

That's really about it. There was also a big party on last night for the students, and there's a big party for everyone on this coming friday night [It's an all nighter, so I'll have to sleep for a few hours after all the kids leave the camp]
