Ok, my contribution. Nobody can stop you from doing a subject, they can jsut recommend that you don't do a subject that you may fail.

Not strictly true.

If the school has a stated maximum class size and that class is full they can refuse to take a new student and the BOS will support the school.

yup. This is due to the fact that there may not be enough teachers to teach the course and/or can't be fitted into the timetable. Because of this, many many schools will restrict the Extension subjects to only the most capable students.

I'm so glad I signed up for 4 unit two days after I received an invite to do the course. a girl signed up 5 days after that and the class was full so she couldn't do it.

Well I believe if you can convince the principle and teachers, you may sign up to an already full class, but not actually attend, rather, take up self-studying.

Hurlstone's very strong with mathematics, a fair few go to my tutor. I would dedicate a lot of time in doing past prelim papers. Also, just curious (because I know a fair few people who go there) - does the top 30 include the accelerated class or is the 30 people based on the non-accelerated maths class?
The HAHS cohort would be nothing without Truong.
