Do people who do well in year 11 generally do better in year 12 ?
like on average ...
?

Theres 2 people in my school [ who do my subjects ] who have gotten 90+ in all their results for year 11 & are topping the courses... one of them had a brother who was dux last yr with a 99 + uai ... she wants to beat him =/ [ shes on her way there as well =/ ]

I haven't worked much this year..
next to nothing really,
planning to try really hard for year 12 .. kind of started some year 12 summaries on my own.. not much .. but yeah .. im scared because' old habits die hard...

totally freaking out about year 12 approaching...

would there be any chance of me beating these two ? =S
they ace like everything:uhhuh:

im starting to think... theres no hopee :(

Old habits can and do change.

I went from one of the lowest students to be the top student and then I became lowest again.(planning on reversing it). However it usually doesn't happen overnight.

My sleep habits keep changing from sleeping too early to too late.

Don't believe it when people tell you habits cannot change.

But also realise that fantasy is not enough, you must actually do something.

Well, it's sorta half half eh? If some people go up, there's gotta be some people that go down, unless they tie, in which case, everyone beneath them goes down even further. :p

You dont have to beat them to do well.

As long as you put in as much effort as you can, you shouldnt feel disheartened if you dont beat the people who are coming first and second in your year.

Its easier to maintain good habits then it is to break old ones.

I've been first in all but maths since prelim, and you'd have to claw that rank from my cold dead hands before I'd give it to anyone.
It spurs me and my friends to work our asses off.

who gives a shit? fuck em and just do the best you possibly can. Keep in mind (while this is a generalization) people who constantly get 100 percent often sacrifice their health and happiness to do so, in my opinion, it just is not worth it.

Just do your best! that's all that can be asked.

This is true.
I look like fucking shit and I've had a cold for two and a half weeks. I've been depressed and grumpy.

Though, I'm very happy in general. I'll perk up in a couple of days.

I think its good to set a goal you're determined for.

Use these super-smart people as your carrot on a stick. Keep going for that mark.

Make sure it happens in the end.

Hahaha. When you're doing 13 units, its fucking tiring. I'm about ready to just sleep for a month, but I don't have the time.

My best friend has been chasing me in ancient all year. Its crazy how small the gap between us is.
