BAD IDEA mate.

The teachers there are actually engineers. Not capable of tailoring you to beat the HSC. Don't have much experience - you could easily get a better tutor for the same price.

Students work from their random worksheets and Coroneos - while adequate, it doesn't quite cater to ensure you can tackle the higher mark questions.

Also, the main tutors there (Seth and Panha) are easily sidetracked. Tons of bs (more from Panha) comes from their mouths.

Overall: Mediocre. Not bad, not good. Wouldn't go there again.

If this statement is accurate, I would not take into consideration of applying into Pals. IMO, if I had the desire to enrol into any school – pristine or not, I would reflect on one factor, that of the teachers. The only people who should be educating us, providing us with information and support are those of teachers because they are trained. I wouldn’t want an engineer to fulfil an occupation which is not closely correlated to one another. It is understandable that engineers are well-versed in Mathematics and Science, but engineers should not embody the role of a teacher – a tutor, I can come to a consensus with that idea, but NOT a teacher.

Although Pals ranked in the top 100, to me, that bears no relevance. I would want to attend a school, where teachers are trained, qualified and experienced. Also, such a school that places a greater emphasis on Mathematics and Science, in my opinion is distasteful. As a student, I would want to attend a school where to the least, they specialise in Mathematics, Science and English, not just the aforementioned subjects.

But really, Pals seems like a great school, perfect for anyone who would like to improve their results in Mathematics and Science and ultimately enhance their general understanding of the subjects.

Its like this. There are 2 buildings which are separated by a car park. One of the building is a school and one is a tutoring center. But since the SCHOOL building has like 5 rooms for years 7 through to 12. We go to the tutoring center to have some of our classes. Especially the senior classes from 10-12 have to go across the carpark at least twice a day to "learn" shit.

My opinion is stay at your current school, even if it some shithouse school because it cant be as bad as pal college. Thats just my opinion and i know i am a bit delayed but what ever.

the ATAR really depends on the student rather than his/her school...
Teachers at my school advised the students not to transfer to PAL as the school is only specialised in mathematics and science but not english, which is an critical and compulsory subject of the HSC.

well i went to the tutorin side for sseveral months and to be honest, its like 5 mins serious work 10 mins reading thenthe rest is panhas story times the thing is with this school/tutotr, the fees for tutition is epic expensive and i have been to quite a few tutorings like c2c, north shore, james an etc and pal college well your pretty much killing big bux for story time and photocopies of maths work from coroneos books seriously pathetic tutoring and goin there isnt really gonna make a big diff in your marks by the way they charge you on top of the fees for printing tight arse much?????? and for those who go there for school....how much it the tutition fees?

The fees are about $5500 a year, you can pay by term as well.
I wouldn't know of any other schools in this price bracket, I mean we're more expensive than most Catholic Schools ($1-2k) but nowhere near the ones pricey ones like Kings, Scots, Grammar or Shore. (20k+).

Having never gone to another private school, I wouldn't know of any comparable ones. Perhaps someone who does go to one may wish to make it known.

That's very expensive :S SChools like Kings and Scots have massive price tag because well, have you seen their campus and facility -_-

LOL haters on Pal, it's closed now anyway.. It was an excellent school though. It's too bad some of you don't understand what it's like, just too bad
