No need to panic now. When I was an undergrad, I didn't understand everything taught in lectures and still ended up getting the uni medal. All I can say is learn and understand what you NEED - you don't have need to know everything.

I hope this helps!

haven't done my first lab yet but looking at the introductory experiment, it shouldn't be that hard if you did the pre-lab and read all about the experiment. what did you guys do today in the lab anyway?

It's just one lab man, don't worry about the low mark, plenty of time to fix it up. I remember the first lab was error calculation or something, it's actually pretty important that you understand how to calculate the error in values correctly, so go over the work for future labs.

Having said that, labs really aren't that hard if you just read over the experiement the hour before the lab or something.

i think it's my fault that I only read the experiment an hour before the lab.

There's a phys quiz that tests your error calculation skills. It's on moodle, and it helped me quite a lot. I didn't even know about the prelab reading and still got an 8, thanks to that quiz. There's also a whole section in front of the lab manual that deals with error as well.

Assuming I know what you're trying to say, you can ask questions in tutorials for Maths, and the "Other" for Physics as well.

As above yeah, also all lecturers have their own consultation hours which you need to be aware of.
