E = ... Vm-1 (cant remember answer)

Any more calculation questions I cant remember?
isn't the units for E = NC-1?

Phew, at least most of the answers are consistent.

Yeah 392 would have been the answer I got, but does ANYONE remember if the question mentioned diameter or radius or what??

its not 392 although i did that .. the distance from the point of application of the force to the centre of rotation is the radius which is 10cm..therefore divide 392 by 2 and thats ur answer (coz its 10 not 20 as d in Torque=fd).

Also the question with mass dilation didnt say 0.37 or 37% .. its said .37% which

0.37/100 which is like 0.0037 or some shit so u shulda subbed in mv = 1 and mo = 1.0037 if u used 1 as ur rest mass

That was a really fuckd exam but as long as every1 fuckd it its all goood =)

Aye, I did that too, but should have used 10cm because that was the radius...

THe question said it was 20cm diameter. You needed to use 10cm radius for your torque value giving you 196 turns.

FUCK.

Ah that's crap. I used 1.37 (as in a 37% increase). Fuckin stupid.

Ah well. I got 196 turns as well - pivot point was in the centre of the circle. That's where the axle went through from memory (if there even was an axle).

Wow - people got huge values for that horizontal velocity thing. 19m/s? That's light twice as fast as an olympic sprinter!

I got 3 m/s, which is as fast as me sprinting. I hope that's right. I used a similar formula to Forbidden

omg. i didn't see the . infront of the 37% i took it as 37%. omg i want to suicide now.

and omg to the torque=fd. i calculated to 20 omg. i forgot to count from pivot & i do engineering studies. omg SHAME!!!

Hmm for that torque question i used the radius which was 0.1m

Which means T = f x d
T = mass(don't remember it) x 9.8 x 0.1

Except for some reason i didnt get 192 coils i got exactly 200.

:confused:

Yeah thats what i did. It would be riduculous if it was .37% as that would yeild a velocity very low. Also, you get full marks if it is evident that you read it wrong but had correct method.

OVerall i found the exam pretty easy :)
