im not a rap/rnb/thug fan either, but i like mainstream stuff thats catchy cause its fun meaningless fun, and life needs more of that, i already have alot of music i connect with on a deeper level so its nice jsut to have songs to enjoy and forget...

Otherwise it is a genre without redemption, however.

I too, am confused.

I think Brian Wilson is horrendously over rated. Petsounds has its moments, and Smile was okay, but I guess it's hard to retrospectively judge music out of its original context.
