Do you have a job? I’ve been passing the time by working most days and playing games with friends/having them over

Yeah bro I tutor, but that’s like 3 x a week with 8 hours in total. Yeah I have been playing games too but they just feel empty lmao.
do you have any hobbies outside of school? maybe doing some volunteer work or (if you have the money and means to do so) some travel? :)
all I can really recommend are distractions, take up a class, figure out what you want to do with your life now.

Have u tried one of the following?:
1. touch grass
2. get some btiches
Well since you graduated in 1998 with an ATAR of 0 you probably have some life experience with this.

Can we get a tutorial? Asking for a friend of course.

Thanks in advance
- from my friend.

i also feel a bit empty, i think bc studying was basically my life for the past two years lmao, it’s almost an addiction 😭

if you’re not socialising i’d suggest doing that, whether that’s through doing it lightly with social media or not . also maybe try some hobbies, maybe ones that you haven’t tried before or ones that you dropped due to hsc. personally i used to make a lot of music before hsc, so i’ve been getting back to that and it’s a rewarding process to make something good so it kind of fills the gap.

bro when all u have been doing for two years is basically studying, it’s difficult to stop lol, it’s a habit. i gotta at least watch videos about different topics now.

i’m not really doing anything to prep for uni, but u could just revise math/sci courses u took in high school if you’re having to take any.

wtf. how much did you study per day in prep for HSC?

After graduating I'd do like 1 or 2 past papers, memorise notes, and then chill.

coming up to the hsc, like pretty much the whole day lol, so from 9-8 on some days (not including breaks), legit like 9-11 hours sometimes which is really unhealthy lmaooo. afterschool probably like 3 hours ish so prob from 5:30-8:30. unfortunately though im not really smart, so i really had to push myself throughout these years to learn and do the best i can, which at least ended well for me in my results.

coz i want to. also the degree is not necessarily only a maths degree, theres a large computational element to it which, aside from me being interested in computer science/programming/data science, i find is much more applicable to industry, since people who take math degrees are almost always involved in implementing their ideas in computers nowadays. unsw and usyd on the other hand, have some pure math topics like topology which uts straight up doesn't teach, but don't really include many computational classes. the rest of their classes are similar in content at least judging from handbooks. also uts has a good rep in quantitative finance (look on linkedin) as they have a masters specialising in the field, which is a field that i at least want to try out maybe through an internship
