To be honest, i'm not that great in school sciences - don't perform so well to my other subs. I prefer those external competitions instead.
Well, I'm not cut out for Science either.

Much prefer Social Science.

My Asian Pride pretty much forced me to pick at least either Physics or Chemistry in Year 11 and it's making me keep Physics for Year 12 as well.

CAFS: 80%- 68/85- 2nd place
Advanced English- 85% (If not for the creative writing getting an 8/15 I would easily be mid 90's :(...- 72/85- Rank 1
Extension English: 39/60- 1st place- Oh dear, totally rushed one of the essays because I had shit time management
Maths Advanced- 41/69 lol (around 10 marks of silly mistakes plus this is better than I expected considering it was possibly the hardest 2U test I've done ever)- 3rd place Average was about 20/69 lol

Find out Mx1 tomorrow... not going to post result.

Ancient History- 81/100. Actually did 2 extended answers instead of 3 because they were the test instructions but apparently she announced we had to do the additional one multiple times, don't know how I missed it, so I got a 15/25 for the section I didn't do which is quite a bit lower than my other 2 so could have gone better but happy with the mark. 2nd by 2 marks.

Biology-91/100 YEEEAHH. First by 3 marks.

Adv English-71/100. Narrative got 14/25 which I was expecting and still not happy with :(. Others were pretty good and first by like 30 marks lol. Hoping to get more for a subject I like but first exam with time restraints like that so not too bad.

Business Studies- Haven't got those back yet but apparently I got like 11/20 on multiple choice, the teacher said the exam was really hard. I should come 2nd or 3rd. Didn't study at all for this :p.

2U Math- Like 15/70 or something, don't ask. Teacher said to study for everything, ended up studying for everything that wasn't in it. Just had a bad day in general on that exam. No one in the class got higher than 20/70. Probably a hard exam tbh. Teacher wanted everyone to drop to general but tbh for everyone to have marks that low reflects on the exam and teacher quality as well as us tbh. I want to keep 2 unit but still need to do calculus and trig and some linear function stuff to finish prelim content, going to have to work hard. Any suggestions on improving the skills to analyse diagrams and apply things to it? I'm thinking I should do more practice questions :p. I really want to keep 2Unit, hope I can. Don't know what I came, everyone was similar in 10-20 mark.

PDHPE-Like 48/80 or something. Just a pass. I was surprised at how low it was, the exam seemed easy while I was doing it, looking forward to seeing the paper. 1st by a fair bit.

I am dissapointed overall, especially maths and pdhpe and probably business as well. Getting kind of discouraged since I was considering science (physics) at uni and seem to fail at math so badly hah.

Because I beat my friend/rival by 1 mark in the exam I beat him in the overall assessment ranking lol. He is so pissed because this is the 3rd subject where he's come second to me by almost nothing. I had the same thing happen to me last year so he should deal with it lol

I thought your rank was 72/85 for English with a mark of 85% lol, because that would be a crazy cohort. :p

Don't really have many of my results back, but just wanted some comments on this fuckery going on at my school.

I'm an english extension 1 student who's never studied for extension 1 but have only lost two marks during the preliminary course (and those were because I was VERY unprepared for my extension 1 final exam, but a mark of 48/50... who's complaining? HAHAHA.) So why are my marks for advanced not even close? I'm a high band 6 student for extension, but only a band 5 for advanced? Is this happening to other schools too???

It ain't fuckery - they are very different courses.

English Extension 1 is far more context based compared to Advanced (which is more 'quote-technique-effect' based, and more concept based (e.g. belonging)).

So it's perfectly normal for a person to be doing well in one, but poorly in the other, and vice versa.

To be honest, Extension 1 English isn't any harder than Advanced English in Year 11. It's just another ''English'' subject in a sense, you just learn different things.

I know some people who did better in Extension 1 than Advanced in terms of overall marks in Year 11. So you're not alone.

For myself, I did slightly better in Advanced English in terms of my overall marks in Year 11, but my marks for Advanced and Extension were pretty close at the start of the year.

Despite dropping Extension English for MX2, I'd actually say that Extension 1 English is the better course than Advanced English because of what you study in EE1 is more interesting anyhow in my honest opinion. I enjoyed it in Year 11. Did much better than I had expected. It was great while it lasted.

Got 47/50 for EE1 in the half yearly report.
I'm expecting a 42 or 43 in the yearly report.
