Or not. Newton wasn't that great. A lot of his stuff was just formalisation of other stuff discovered by people or races before him, such as binomial theorem.
Furthermore, we'd still have calculus without him.
Sure, it'd probably (but not certainly... maybe if he hadn't of been born a bigger genius would have came along?) suck if he hadn't of been born.
