Those arguements are almost as pointless at those rap v punk ones.

But the general rule is "if you can buy it at kmart - its not punk"

i like the music. i listen to old punk, pop-punk, emo - i enjoy it all. its the fans i dont like - and the way that fashion influences the music/fans. e.g - going to shows and seeing people who were into pop-punk 2 years ago and wore skatey chains, colourful band shirts from lagwagon and NFG. Now they dye hair black, have excessive wristbands and wear all black. I guarantee the same people would wear tuxedos if the bands they listen to did. It shits me.

i wouldnt call it being a groupie. guys do it too. its a trend thing - a need to fit in, they are probably the same kids who liked power rangers, then yo-yos then tazos and any other fads.

Eh, those are pop-punk bands. I'm so over pop-punk. The trend's lasted long enough, time for a new trend to take over.

I personally believe that punk died a long time ago. Punk was meant to be about shocking people and making them question social values. People became desensitised to it a long time ago and so now it's just another marketable form of pop culture.

Blink 182 is definately not punk. Maybe some of their older stuff around/before dude ranch may be classified as punk. Simple plan are a bunch of posers, and i want to shoot them all. Good Charlotte is pop-punk.

No gripes with new found tho, one of my favourite punk/cover bands
