When i'm quoting from "frankenstein" do i have to state the whole quote if it's like 3 lines long? or can i use like "bla bla .....bla bla", if i can, how many words into the quote until i can start using the dots?

you ONLY quote what is absolutely ESSENTIAL to your argument/point. 3 lines is just too long. If you really want to put it all in, break up it with explanations etc. in between.

Use ellipses to focus only on the important bits. You don't need to write out everything if it's not all important.

But if you did want to quote something that was 3 lines and you needed all of those 3 lines, you can always make a new line, indent, and italisise it.

if they are three important ideas, then break them up into 3 parts. it will make your paragraph look less clunky.

^ This. Not much point in having a long sentence if your just going to pick it apart and analyse the different parts separately in the end. Keep it short and sweet :)
