Architecture in Helsinki - quirky australian pop. If you go to http://www.architectureinhelsinki.com/ , you can hear snippets of all their songs from their latest album. For some reason theyre playing Sydney this friday and then Brisbane on Saturday and skipping newcastle. Theyre pretty great live too, theres eight of them, all handclaps and swapping instruments.

New Buffalo - an aussie singer songwriter girl. shes pretty great. you can download some songs from her website www.newbuffalo.net I recommend Recovery, and Ive Got You and Youve Got Me from 'The last beautiful day' album.
She played Newcastle last friday.

ha..i went to that and i think new buffalo was probably the worst..

i agree with mr brightside, you'd probably like eskimo joe, emily..maybe also the white stripes..or beck..or end of fashion..mm, i've got more suggestions, but it's hard to tell if you'd like them or not :s

yeah i have eskimo joe, its ok but some of the stuff is a bit monotonous i reckon...maybe cos its my friends favourite band and all the way to schoolies last year (we drove to surfers) she insisted on having the album on repeat
so im a bit eskimo joed out for the rest of my life unfortunately
