Hi Guys

This question is about a Yr 11 related text for the Area of Study: Human Condition. I was wondering if I would lose marks if I chose to use F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby as my related text? I know it is a Module A prescribed text in Yr12 but my school does not do Gatsby as a Module A text in Yr 12 and when I asked my teacher she said it was fine but I'm just worried that if another teacher marks my essay they might mark me down choosing a Yr12 text. Could someone please clarify?

No you can't get marked down by choosing a prescribed text as your area of study. Unless its one that you will be studying that year (so year 11)

I concur with turn taker's advice, focus on analysing the text conceptually and answering the given question as closely as possible, don't worry about anything else
