Ok... and there's also the truth of the people who believe it IS their role to blow up buildings,
You haven't presented me with any more logical a reason why you are right than they are
BECAUSE your religion, like alot of other religions.. is so ambiguous (as to allow for a greater range of members) that both people with a pacifists view, and a 'terrorists' view are both ACCEPTABLE going by your religious texts etc...

thats not fair

theres a preist..hes a religous holy man..blah blah

he commits a crime..he molests a innocent child..or is involved with child pornography

the misconception is all christians molest boys

is it true?..

no..thats a misconception

then theres an opinion....i think all preists molest boys..
not true but still an opinion
The priest was not preaching the molestation of children with references to the bible, and sending followers of this belief out to molest children. He could not have possibly justified this in the bible to a mass group of people(not that the bible hasn't convinced people to do bad things! the crusades...etc), however the muslim 'terrorists' have managed to do it with the qoran.

Kinda different.. no?

oh wellz...its not shameful to admit you are right

yeah you are right
maybe i should have really thought about it
but what can ya do...i dont care about them because i dont support them and i know for ME PERSONALY islam doesnt stand for terrorism
maybe their koran was tampered with
who knows..
but i dont care..all i care about is that people dont hate me an average ordinary muslim for something that people across the world do in the name of islam

ive copped so much shit from people since 9/11...i just dunno

again.. that's kinda mean, you don't know the fundamentals of a whole range of religions however you have rejected them...

I know basically... (in my opinion) what all religions are made up of.
If you've noticed, i've never once singled out islam....

I am glad you have agreed, you have logic.

But i want you to know.. i agree with you, I think the peaceful followers of religions are ALL really nice people (unless they're fanatics that knock on your door), just like most everyday people...

However perhaps it is also wrong for me to BLAME islam for these killings, because i actually believe these killings would still happen if the people didn't have the belief... (if people are going to do bad, they'd probably do bad anyway hey?) I believe the only problem with the belief is that it's used by THEM as a justification for it to other muslims..

The people who have given you shit because of 9/11 are fuckwits.

ALL well thought out people know that most of islam is full of peaceful people, that want the same as us.
However some crazed power-hungry people have managed to gain power over the religion in some parts... and they are using it to cause pain to others... (as would happen i'm sure, if the CHRISTIAN church could get power again).

well im an example of a convert to islam so obviously i studied other religions and know them quite well. islam for me is the religion of truth, forget the terrorists, the bad leaders, they are not real muslims, they are ppl out to destroy islam and are more worried about getting rich and taking ova the world. however there are fantastic muslim leaders, look at sayyid khomeini who got rid of a corrupt government in iran where brothels and prostitues were taking ova the country. look at sayyid hassan nasrullah leader of hezbollah, now thats what u call a true leader. he sent his son to fight and die for lebanon due to israeli occuption. id like to see bush send his daughters (who are know drug addicts and alcoholics) or howard send his kids to fight "in the war or terror". no they send other kids to die and keep theres by there side. look when u have a muslim leader, they are either the worst (too radical or using religion as a means of gaining power) or they are the best and under their rule, we would live in the utmost peace and comfort.

well sometimes i think whats the point of trying to arguein these forums
you never come to an understanding
you end up deciding not to argue
you never compramise
and even if you do you still personally believe you are right
i dunno..im not gonna fight for my opinion..or view or truth because this argument is neverending
and you probably wouldnt understand it unless you yourself was muslim..or became muslim
oh wellz such is life...

I'm comming to a greater understanding of how wise you muslims are.
You're all... fairly new to the faith of islam (most of you), however you all present better ethical arguments than christians on this forum have managed.

So do i , i think it was incredibly insightful and shows that he isn't necessarily arrogant about his religion.
Find a christian.. (who believes in most aspects of the bible), and will give a fault in their religion..

like you cant judge a religon by its followers

Not entirely, but a religion is only as strong, based upon its followers...

If no one followed allah, then the religion would no longer exist.
No one follows Zeus anymore.. his religion is gone.

yeah but im saying you cant base your ideas on the religon of islam from the followers
they dont always behave accordingly
so theres 2 options
you read the koran and the hadith..(the book)
or you follow followers and judge islam on what they do(its cover)

u get me

I disagree. It still exists it just isn't practiced. Just like Latin is a "dead language" but can still be spoken. As long as we know about it it exists.

You know, this is going to sound terrible, but I really have to have an enormous amount of respect for the terrorist organisations in Iraq. Capturing civillians, letting us get to know them on a personal level as they plead to Tony Blair on camera for their lives. When the conditions of the troops being taken are not met they are beheaded on film with the footage available on the internet. What a powerfully emotive method.

I respect this tactic immensely. They could walk onto a crowded London street and kill 100 people. yet they choose to kill just one... and draw it out. It's so much more powerful than any other method. While the US drops bombs on children's hospitals in Iraq (a "mistake", of course) the terrorists are striking at the heart of the globe. They are playing on all of our emotions and human dignity. If they put a suicide bomber in England and killed multiple people the public would blame and hate them, but by saying "Tony Blair, we'll kill this person if you don't do this by this date" they are shifting the blame for their actions onto the government. While this does not cause them to be seen as blameless it turns public opinion towards those in government who could have stopped it and did nothing.

As I said, enormous respect. Not for their murder, actions or cause, but for their brilliant methods.

Opinions?
My opinion: You should be tracked down and shot in the face.

why should he be tracked down and shot in the face
he has a point
you can blow yourself up in public
or you can capture one person and kill them
it makes sense to me
and everything they do is in self defence anyway
since when is it bad for people to defend themselves and fight for their land etc(just because they are labelled terrorists)..infact whats the difference between the army and a "terrorist" they both fighting and killing just one wears an official uniform and is supported by the american goverment and the otehr works underground and kinda in secret..its all the same
oh wellz..i hate these topics i really do
