So they pretty much only use SCIWAM to calculate offers for scholarships/postgrad etc.? I really hope so, since due to some misguided choices of UOSes made way back I've gone pretty shit in some of my 1st year-only subjects.

Can anyone else confirm that they use the WAM thing to work out whether you get a credit average and thus whether you keep your scholarship? or do they look at whether you get a credit in each individual subject?

check your scholarship conditions, but again, generally WAM is used for scholarships. I'm yet to find one looking at GPA

Yeah, that's what I wanna know. I hope they leave out 1st year subs for their credit-average calculations.

They don't leave out first year subs for most faculties, as sci-wam would be science-specific, if I'm not mistaken. I know that for all the scholarships I was awarded this year, the WAM was used

WOW I'm very surprized....
I thought ECMT would be my worst cuz I missed the last 12-13 questions and put the same choice for all of them during the last few minutes....but turns out I got 81!! (my only distinction)....

very disappointing mark in ECON though.... but I still love it! it is interesting

Still nothing, aside from EDUF1018. Do they release results on Sundays?
Political Economy released theirs today, surprisingly.

Anyhow, I've been scraping through in my marks so far

WORK1003: 85 HD (barely)
ECOP 1001: 77 D (just)

... but I'm not complaining, not until French is released, which will be my undoing...

Got another result.

MTRX1701 Introduction to Mechatronic Engineering 75 Distinction.

I'm glad I got that, especially when I fooked up the last assignment which was worth 25%.

can u actually appeal if u miss a grade by a mark?

edit: is there actually negative scaling? now i'm worried
Yes, because I passed everything prior to the exam (was probably on 60%) and in the exam answered 75-80% and was sure it was almost completely right, so yes I got scaled down.

if ur that sure maybe u should appeal cause i always thought there was no negative scaling. the cohort must have been shithouse

or perhaps a major fuck up of the exam?

I'm gonna go into the uni to talk to them about it, but it doesn't phase me that much.
