WHAT DO GUYS?! I only turn 18 in August...1 whole sem of doing jack all. Any tips on getting involved, like do you have to be 18 to go on the camps or get into other events like society functions and cocktail parties??! Enrolment today sucked ass so I hope its worth it!

Hey guys can anyone tell me what happens when you have two lectures back to back? Do you always have to miss out on say 5-10 minutes of your second lecture if your first goes for a bit longer or if the lecture rooms are far away from each other?

classes finish at 5 to the hour and start at 5 past the hour, so you have 10 minutes to get to class. Most lecturers are pretty good at keeping to the timing. There's only a couple of bad class/room schedules where it will take you more than 10 minutes to walk to class.

I turned 18 at the end of semester one last year but I still was able to get drinks at Herman's and the Manning. Apparently they never check your card!

Also went on a few cruises without any problems. They just assume everyone is over 18 since you're uni students.

They checked mine but that's probably because I look 14. I'm going to be carded until my 40s.

I get my card checked by transit officers when they see my student train tickets or when I buy them. -__-

i am going to do Bachelor of Commerce..... are there lots of asians in commerce like in unsw? do they speak english at all? i dunno why would i ask that but i am abit worried.

I'm not sure about other faculty camps, but the first year law camp generally caters to under 18's (ie. you are allowed to go).

That's a bit unfair for the smokers. Especially the ones in the middle of the campus.

Personally I love it. If you wanna slowly kill yourself, do it off-campus, as far away from me as possible.

Well there are several designated smoking areas. That's completely fair. People should be able to smoke if they want, just as long as it doesn't affect anyone who doesn't want it.

Has anyone else spotted that rat which runs around the footpath around Madsen? Whenever I sit on the benches at the front of the building, I see it scurrying around all the time.

There's a douchebag who smokes at the back of SciTech. I've seen him get kicked out a few times.
