Don't feel bad, I correct everyone! Some people just have more wrong than others. :DWill you please at least ATTEMPT to make sense next time you post? Serial killers don't need to be rapists, they just need to kill people. Also, rape is sex without consent, so to be brutal rapists have a sex life too.

yeh but alot of them are.

Be careful with claims like that. How many serial killers were rapists, compared to those that weren't? Have you looked into it, or are you just stating the position the media perception has led you to develop?

Quite frankly, nobody has any clue how many serial killers there have been, nor how many of those were rapists. Perhaps it may be more accurate to claim that many serial rapists are also killers, but we don't even know how solid that one is!

Lexi, you're right. Alot of the serial killers i studied didn't rape - their sexual fantasy was in the killings themselves. Chikatilo and Ramirez for example, got their rocks off and managed to have the big "O" just by biting out a girl's neck. Oh, well maybe with the few gay exceptions like Jeff Dahmer.

That's right, he also taunted the police with clues and letters, cards, maps of where he'd kill next and forced them to post his letters in the newspaper. The codings were worked out by two school teachers, its really fascinating stuff - check out the link www.thezodiac.com (i think thats it)

Ah yes, you sent me there before. I think that's where I read about the victims, and his varying MO.

That's why I felt secure in saying there's no known measure of actual serial killers, because when they're not caught the only thing to link murders is the Modus Operandi, and that is easily varied.

Behaviour of a Serial Killer
1. Usually introspective and withdrawn, he has few associates and no close friends and enjoys olitary pursuits like reading or going to the cinema alone, often to see horror films.
2. He feels inadequate and inferior, except in regard to his crimes, which make him feel god-like, and is likely to offend when he has suffered a loss of self esteem such as loss of job, or being ridiculed by someone, especially in a sexual context.
3. He can be a hypochondriac and display squeamishness.
4. He has an elaborate fantasy life, imagining sadistic scenes which he acts out in his killings. He is fascinated by atrocities and excited by cruelty, such as that committed byt he Nazis, and collects books or pictures of such images.
5. He has an inordinate interest in weapons, often having a large collection which he may lovingly handle, and even endow some with pet names.
6. He is usually under 35, unmarried and of high intelligence
7. He is usually sexually dysfunctional, has usually h ad little or no experience of normal sexual intercourse and may hate all females.
8. Many take jobs which satisfy their sadistic inclinations, such as butchery or slaughter house work - in much the same way that necrophiles often obtain jobs as mortuary attendants and grave diggers.
9. He has a strong, ambivalent relationship wtih his mother, both loving and hating her. He is often seen as a 'mother's boy' when adult. Sometimes he commits matricide.
10. Sometimes the father is excessively punitive and authoritarian.
11. There is a great interest in pornography, particularly sadistic pornography.
12. A history of cruelty to animals is particularly significant when it relates to cats, dogs, birds and farm animals. Stabbing or hanging is common, although worse cruelties can be inflicted.
13. The method of killing his human is almost always strangling, which gives him a greater sense of power over his victims, playing with them 'like a cat with a mouse'
14. Although these are sexually motivated crimes, sexual intercourse or orgasm does not always occur. Sometimes the murderer masturbates and sometimes a penis-substitute - such as a piece of wood or a knife - is used to violate the victim.
15. When captured and institutionalized in hospitals or prisons, he is very well behaved, which can result in his being released or sent to a less secure unit.

He was never caught - and he's still on the loose today, however cops think he's been put in jail for a petty crime. They actually thought he was the Washington Sniper at one stage - i'm not sure how they thought that...
Women killers...Eileen Wournos and there was a couple (man/woman) that killed together, they were really ugly looking - their names have slipped me at the moment, i'll get back to you though, i remember reading about chainsaws and decapitations when i read about them.

No fool! I wasn't talking about your spelling! I was talking about your desire to find an attractive serial killer (and the assumptions that can be made thereafter).

No, i can't think of any female killers that were even remotely good looking (and if i say so myself, i have a fairly good taste in women). Keep looking though.

They might have been, if they scrubbed up a bit? You never know.

Hell, I never know, even when the subjects are scrubbed up. I see beauty in the oddest places sometimes. :)
