lol ok in terms of fairness i think anal penetration goes on everywhere.. *shrugs*
ok on the topic i think ten/nine should grab the chance before nine takes them out of the sporting arena.. if they lose AFL they are gone.. nine has cricket and rugby and maybe AFL thats just gonna kill ten/seven

what the hell is wrong with you people! AFL is one of the best sports out there. Don't worry sweet_as, im with ya on this one.

In response to the actual topic, the Seven and Ten force have won the AFL broadcasting rights. Will be good to hear Bruce commentate the games again. I really didn't care which channel won the rights for broadcasting the games. It seemed to be more of an issue for those living in NSW and Queensland. I bet Kerry Packer would be turning in his grave.

IMO, Nine only made such a large bid to force Seven & Ten to pay overs.
Seven and Ten couldn't afford not to win the AFL rights.
The AFL would have been stupid to accept Nine's bid anyway, seeing as how NSW and QLD would have been screwed over.
I read some article earlier which claimed that Seven and Ten stand to lose $30-40 million each year off the AFL broadcasting.

Yeah, youre right - Packer would be turning in his grave. I also looked forward to seeing Demetriou make the announcement through his gritted teeth. What a bastard - he'd sell his kids to make money. The good thing for us NSWers is that hopefully we'll see friday night games at 8:30 nationally on CH7 instead of waiting till 1:30 (what a disgrace). It should show that ratings wise AFL is the most followed code nationally. Sorry leaguies  . Finally a big step forward :D. Now all they need is Collingwood AND Carlton in the finals.

i hope the AFL does go live on friday nights into NSW and QLD
the results will be hilarious
SBS might be forced to switch the Iron Chef to Friday nights to continue its domination of AFL in Sydney

what is SBS doing?
I think that there was speculation that if Nine won the AFL rights, than they may sub licence the a couple of games to SBS. I think SBS were very reluctant to take on the AFL coverage with Nine, probably because of their football coverage.

meh, although I respect the athletic abilities of afl players, its a gay game.

Why is it gay?

Gay people play it.
Surely the tight shorts and ass grabbing is a dead giveaway. Plus, someone should tell them that they can dispose of the ball by throwing, not by inventing gay rules like punching the ball, and calling it 'handballing'. Hands and balls, there we go again. Man its gay.

Gay people watch it.
3000 people at a training sesssion. Thats pretty gay.
70000 people paying $50 and excess to watch a game live when they cant even see the ball cos the other ends too freakin far. At least its better than the older days when afl was played over a kilometre long field. excpet that was a manly sport. Now its just gay again. And gay people watch it.

Now, Gay channels televise it.
Any channel which doesnt show the cricket is gay. Channel 7 DID show the cricket, I know, but their tennis coverage makes them overly homosexual. Quite gay.

AFL is gay
