i epilate too, its actually made the hair grow back slower and sparser, so its pretty cool.

i've always wondered though, if epilating is basically tweezing, just in larger amounts, how can it grow back slower?

Time for the "I don't remove my leg hair" post. Yes, that's right. I don't because I'm south east Asian and if any of you have noticed SE Asians generally have a lot less hair. Mine is so fine and short it doesn't need any removal.

because ur pulling the entire length of the hair out from root to tip, as opposed to just cutting it off at the level of the skin.
waxing works in the same way.
The hair needs to grow the whole length between the root and skin surface before u can feel it when u epilate.

Part of the reason u can get ingrown hairs with epilation and waxing if you dont exfoliate.

EDIT: lala2, i'm 100% certain that somebody has noticed the hair.

epilating is the worst. so painful and it makes me break out in rash.
i wax when i can, but usually shave.

my skin is too crazy for waxing/ epilating.

if i wax/ epilate my legs i get a crazy rash which gets all gross and itchy then doesnt fully go away for 2 weeks.
so i thought i just sucked at it, and got a friend who waxes her legs to do it for me. same result.

now im tossing up whether to try out with a pro or just give up and stick with shaving. soooo over shaving.

I generally shave... Waxed once, but it's way too much effort. Used to use that cream but sometimes had a skin reaction to it.
Shaving's way easy, and my hair grows back fine and blonde and slowly anyway, so it's not a problem.
