mum also says it'll make my hair oily more quickly coz of the water staying on ur skin longer, therefore making ur body think that ur skin isnt oily enough, which makes it secrete more oil.
This is partially true, from what i know but that is if the individual in question has residual hair care product left in their hair overnight, this is what some of those extra gloss hair care products do to give shine.

I don't think there's anything bad about it but some of the older posts here are scary

I don't like going to bed with wet hair.

When hair is wet it is more vulnerable to breakage, that's why you shouldn't brush wet hair but instead use a wide toothed comb. I suppose sleeping on it would be somewhat the same.

I wouldn't recommend it then *shrugs*

I always sleep with damp hair because I don't like using the hair drier. It hasn't had any adverse effects for my hair/general wellbeing.
In fact, every time I go to the hairdresser's they spend the entire time telling me how I have "the best hair, it's so healthy!" And they find it hard to believe that all I do with it is wash it a couple of times a week and let it dry naturally. So all I can say is, sleeping with damp hair seems to be quite a positive thing for me at least.

I love sleeping with damp hair...
my hair is uber thick so it takes agggggggges to dry
so I usuallly just towel dry, and its still damp before bed
and then if I put it in a curly bun I wake up with sexual wavy hair in the morning :D
easy styling..
