Orientation is like a day-thing before Uni starts.

Yeah, O-Week just refers to the first week of uni. Lotsa things going on in the courtyard...

Flyin - So you didn't actually go INTO the foodcourt...you're just being pedantic! We can't show you every nook and cranny.

And what I said about the 'toilet tour'...it's just a nickname for the campus tour...but it seems like your mentor didn't make it all that fun for ya. Ah well...it's harder to do than it seems.

Well, it was just my mentors. Apparently, talking with Sandie who organises and is in charge of Mentoring (which started last year), they were meant to follow up with their mentorees which they didn't.

The first mentors signed up in 2001 for the 2002 orientation sessions. So it's still pretty new...still being fine-tuned.

Yeah, I followed mine up, kept in contact with a few, made plans to meet up and stuff. That was pretty crappy of those mentors...probably did mentoring just for the certificate and to put something down in the resume.

The thing is I'll (try to) be a good mentor.

Well, I wouldn't know. Hopefully you don't get people there just for the certificate and shirt; like I did. They should be a nice bunch, because of us are.

Hehe, to be honest I don't say hi to some people in my group anymore. I mean, it's clear they're not gonna say hi to me...just let them go on their merry way.

O(rientation)-Day is just a day before uni commences.

I'm mentoring Commerce people; that's if I don't forget to attend training.
