im thinking of taking a trip during the summer holidays and im tossing up between, byron, brissy or melby...
anyone been to brissy or melby?
and how much should i budget for lets say 5 days?

ive been to brisvegas. its not THAT great, but it is awesome.
but if you do go to b'vegas, you can always go down to byron.
or if you go to byron, you can go up to b'vegas.

id say byron though, its more layedback. fucking awesome pub.
and ask sped_kid for advice, she lives in Byron, so she knows all the places and where the cheap drinks are.

and i cant give you advice on budgeting, im not that great with money.

ive been to byron, really laid back atmosphere... i liked it..
only thing i didnt like was how empty it was at night...

if i go to brissy ill have to visit the theme parks... not sure what else there is up there...
and ive got no clue about melby... and i bet that place will be hella expensive

probly due to the fact that i was 16...

but the beach pub was full and had security at all entrances.

byron is hardly ever empty after 12...especially in holiday season...

as for nimbin?! well...nimbin is only cool for a day trip! goodluck to you finding a decent place to stay there

last time i was at byron i had great apartment but fuck we were on the beach without lifeguards... it was hell empty!

nimbin is about an hour away from byron, maybe a little longer...they have tourist buses going out there all the time though...

woot- go to Melby- i wen't down to melbourne, spent all up... 250 dollars and that was for 5 days
Flights cost: 120 return including Taxes
Accomidation: Free (stayed with friends of a friend)
Food /entertainment : 130 (approx- definatley no more than that)

Don't go to Nimbin.. it sucks.. its a hole

the main cost will always be accomodation... flights will be cheap, entertainment can get costly depending on what you do...

yeah i wouldnt advise nimbin either, unless its just for a day trip, or you specifically want to buy drugs...

Theres nothing else to do there...except a TINY bit of shopping
