We did this in Philosophy aswell! Well it is an awesome intro into Philosophy, but it is incredibly heavy. It's not something you can read in a couple of days and come out thinking, "Yeaah, I get it all". I think someone already stated, it's just ideology after ideology. I actually sometimes just use this as abit of a Philosophical reference book when arguing with people. It's simple because most ideologies are spelt out for you, for literal sake, spelt out for sophie.

it's one of my favourite books, I first read it a couple of years ago when I picked it up in a bookstore when I was rushed for time and thought it was a girly book (had a pink cover). Then I read it and absolutely loved it, and it really got me into philosophy and thinking about stuff. I still tell my friends the story of the magic rabbit XD
