Okay I am looking to get some speakers for my dj set,
and I figured I might as well post here asking for some help..

Ahh I am lookinga t getting 2 500 watt speakers....
and an amp to go with it preferably under $800...
thing is I GOT NO IDEA what brands are good, good places to find them etc
etc. so any help like that would be greaaat :) thanks

EDIT: obviously PA speakers + amp

Go to ALDI's and buy some of their shit. If u dont know where to buy ur own shit from then u dont deserve to shop anywhere else than ALDI's.

Where are you playing? I guarantee logitech Z5500s would be loud enough for pretty much any house party.

House parties mainly, few problems with those speakers:

1. They are expensive compared to buying a pa set

2. they wont work outside very well>>

What? You can pick up a set of Z5500's for $350 from MSY, which is well within your budget.

woops :p I only just looked at the rrp which was $800

and what about playing out doors? I doubt that they will be suitable would they?

Just buy the Behringer equivalent of whatever you need. Probabaly wont find better value for money although it tends to break pretty easily from my expieirence.
