well tell ian mcculloch not to get smashed off his face and take acid before their set

seriously, was so disappointing, their songs translate very averagely live, even 'the killing moon' isn't that exciting live. and he sounds like ozzy osburne slurring his words everywhere when he takes a shot at crowd interaction.

like 5 times throughout the gig he would point straight ahead of him into the sky and go 'what the fuck is that' as if he was on acid or something.

really shit.

tbh i think the organisers have done reasonably well to tap into upcoming talent/trends - the xx, florence, wildbeasts and very best have all been kickin around on pitchfork and getting a lot of overseas press.

i'll definitely be going, laneway is probably my favourite festival

it's in rozelle, which if i can remember correctly is kind of inbetween newtown and glebe ish. i could be completely wrong but it's around there somewhere i think?

Camera Obscura are doing the Beck's Bar for Sydney Festival with Slow Club, which is an ungodly combination of awesome
