Thats one way of interpreting imaginative journeys... in terms of journeying into worlds of speculation, inspiration and imagination.

* Speculation involves journeys where you make guesses at ideas without facts
* Inspiration involves journeys where your mind/imagination/creative abilities are stimulated
* Imagination is just imagination I guess... Heres a dictionary definition: The ability to create mental pictures/images, a thing experienced in the mind and not in reality, the ability to be creative and to think of new and interesting ideas etc...

uhuh

Alice in Wonderlands a good one
and Shrek (we did that in class)
oh and the childrens book we did (really cool)
Where the Wild things Are, i dont rememebr the author but seriously if u havent heard of that book u had a deprived childhood :p:p
Hercules (disney movie) also a goodie
and o o o our assessment was based on Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds by the Beatles so that must be linked to the imaginative journey somehow hehe well have fun!!!

i dont get it. when you have to answer your question do you talk about the imaginative journey of the character, the journey created by the author or the imaginative journey undertaken by the audience of the text...or all. that would be pretty hectic

Poems...

The Hunt for the Snark by Lewis Carroll is proving to be a fun poem.

Go and see Big Fish sometime - great material!

for some others:
- the film circus paradiso, really good for imaginative journeys being regressive
- also the film russian ark, kinda art house but good for i. journeys transcending time,
- quite a few of the leunig cartoons...lost the url but if i find it ill post
- almost anything by john keats, but especially 'ode to a grecian urn'
- and if u need an electronic one, try www.principiadiscordia.com very obscure, but would be pretty good!
