if i convert cos^2 x into 1/2[1+cos2x] AND THEN DIFFERENTIATE x.1/2[1+cos2x]

IS THTAT STILL ACCEPTABLE!?!?

fuck for probability i let p=1/5 and q=4/5 in stead of 1/4 and 3/4 do you think i could stil get 1 mark for each for getting the 5C3 part right?

Any think an 83/84 would amount to 100% scaled? I didn't lose any marks but am quite sceptical that they'll accept some of the mess I made.

so u had 5C3(1/4)^2 (3/4)^3 ?
One mark probably, but that would carry on to part ii) so 2 marks lost altogther out of 5.

I actually had 5C2 and i wsn't sure which one it was, but they're equal which is good.

If u calculate it, it's quite a small fraction, which i wrote down. I think that's what they were looking for.

if the adding up error is taken into account, should get 73. if only they gave half marks, i could be on 76/76.5

Hmm, I assume you're accelerating. If so, then that is quite an achievement!

Regarding your question, I'm not too sure, but I believe it'll simply scale to ~99.8.
