ah...glad to see another person who appreciates the classic sports anime! Although the animation quality of slam dunk is not as good compaired to today's standards, I still think inoue's drawing capabilities are beautiful and slam dunk remains one of my all time favourite animes. Hehehe...there were times when I was fully laughing for 10 minutes while I watched it alone, and my mum was in the other room and thought I've gone crazy...

Hajime no Ippo is an boxing anime, which I've heard is extremely good... even to people who don't like boxing as a sport.

I wish I could get my hands on it, somehow...

Hajime no Ippo is the sports anime to watch. Meh, it's one anime you should watch in general. You'll understand after you watch it. IT'S CRAZY. Too bad it finished after what.. 75 eps? Well, at least they didn't drag it out like Kenshin =_=

good anime is like that...it gets you into things that you normally arent into.

I agree that the quality of the manga is a lot better than the anime but since Im lazy, I prefer to jsut sit down in front of the telly and watch the anime.

hmm...the same artist just released a new anime based on his online manga "buzzer beater". dled a few eppies but havent watched it yet. Saw the opening song and the drawings look great.

sounds great altho i dont think it'd be as good as slam dunk (not that i've seen it) but usually when they make 2 of the same things the story lines are sorta the same :s

I downloaded 2 episodes of Buzzer Beater... watched one and a half... and them promptly deleted both.

It didn't capture me at all.

Watched it. It was awesome! Gory, but not wasteful gore... all in the right places. Great series that whacks out all types of emotions in a span of 13 eps.

Normal schoolgirl Himeko who is all innocent and everything meets Chineko-chan and they seem attached. ..(so i was thinking, wow, another romance thing)...
next second, the world is attacked by Orochi (evil ppl who come bac to life to kill because of wat happened to them in the past, which they can not forgive). Himeko and Chineko are both sorcerreses (i cant spell, sorry) - they carry moon and sun power. As well as the ability to awaked robotic monsters.
So the basic plot is to destory the orochi. Yet this anime has a somewhat twisted storyline to why stuff happens. Towards the end of the eps, and the end of the series, the ending is rather trivial. Maybe u guys understand more than me tho.
